SKYPOD is new range of architecturally designed under 60m2 buildings that provides a ‘ready to go’ 1 and 2 bedroom solution for home owners wanting a high-quality second dwelling. It has been designed and engineered by Kiwis and Aussies to our strict building code and can be deployed in days to anywhere and any climate from high country stations to rugged coastal sites. It is the perfect size for most backyards, with our most popular model requiring just 28m2.

SKYPOD is precision made using the latest manufacturing technologies. It offers exceptional thermal performance and unsurpassed comfort using next-generation heat recovery ventilation. Expansive floor to ceiling high-efficiency windows blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living.

The SKYPOD Pack includes the luxury one-piece module, decks, pergola, window surrounds and stylish wooden composite rainscreen to blend seamlessly into any environment. They are supplied fully equiped including the appliances and built in furniture.

  • SKYPOD 28m2 is our best selling compact option and includes 1-bedroom

  • SKYPOD 38m2 is our original design and comes in either a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom option

  • SKYPOD 55m2 is our largest option and includes 2 bedrooms and a separate living room

BEAUTIFUL EXTERIOR

SKYPOD utilises the same proven and robust structural steel chassis as other Ecotech modules, with a seamlessly welded 2mm architectural steel cladding protected by a best-in-class paint system with a 15-year warranty.

A composite timber rainscreen (available in a range of colours) framed with powder coated aluminium window surrounds and pergola provides a stylish natural look, with a contemporary twist. When combined with our 3m deep composite timber deck, you get a structure that is both practical and beautiful.

All exterior materials are carefully selected for use in our changeable weather and harsh UV conditions.

STUNNING INTERIORS

SKYPOD’s luxury interior design has been lovingly crafted by leading NZ architects, Young + Richards.

Built-in furniture, hidden storage spaces and smart floor plans ensure that the layout maximises every square millimetre. The walls, floors and ceiling feature a warm timber finish, with LED accent lighting to create an interior space that feels both peaceful and luxurious. The full height windows frame the exterior landscape, bringing light deep within the living and bedroom spaces.

The kitchen comes standard with a brushed stainless steel benchtop, sink and splashback. The brushed Nickel kitchen mixer, locallt supplied appliances and designer 18mm moisture resistance cabinetry provides a kitchen that is both functional and attractive.

The bathroom unit utilises technologies from the luxury cruise ships industry to create a bathroom and laundry that is guaranteed to be both stunning and leak free.

SKYPOD has been engineered to provide exceptional thermal performance in all climate zones throughout NZ and Australia.

  • Ducted Air Conditioning: Midea Ducted V8 Mini VRF system: 5.6KW Cooling, 6.3KW Heating

  • Heat Recovery Ventilation: 4 x Creatty C2 system. 95% heat efficiency, 100m3 per hour, 15dBA (very quiet)

  • Bathroom Ventilation: Creatty 4-head negative pressure ducted bathroom and laundry extraction, 200 m3 per hour on high setting.  33 dBA

  • Kitchen Ventilation: Midea Powerpack, 360m3 per hour, 55 dBA (on high setting)

EASY INSTALLATION

SKYPOD has been purpose designed for rapid and low cost installation - typically taking just a few days.

Our installers will visit your site and identify the best place to locate your SKYPOD, taking into account crane access, location of existing site services and required setback from your neighbours’ property.

Our job is to make the installation easy.

  • Where SKYPOD is an being installed as a second dwelling, we can typically get away with tapping into your existing services connections - avoiding many of the connection costs faced by new builds. Our black water macerator system can save you thousands of dollars by pumping sewage up to 50m (including uphill) to connect to your existing sewer line.

  • Our concrete-less foundation system, allows heavy duty foundations to be installed on 95% of soil types in a single day. Best of all, if you ever want to relocate SKYPOD to another site, the foundations are easily removable without damage to the ground

  • We can take care of any council consenting on your behalf and prepare a comprehensive quote that covers all costs from transporting SkyPod to your site, site works, landscaping and the final issue of Code Consent.

OFF GRID OPTIONS AVAILABLE

Talk to us if you need an off-grid solution. We have range of options, including Solar, incinerator toilets and grey-water recycling that can allow SKYPOD to be located in remote sites that well away from Town services.

As a pricing guide (NZ customers only):

  • The base SkyPod model sells for NZ$149,995 incl GST

  • Installation costs vary from site to site, but typically averages out at NZ$40,000 + GST
