At the heart of the ECOTECH system is an innovative structural steel chassis that gives modules the ability to stack up to 7 stories high and to connect together seamlessly to create fully complete buildings.
The frame’s strength unlocks new architectural freedom. Create expansive floor to ceiling windows, spacious openings along an entire side or join multiple modules together to form a large connected space - all without the need for additional internal supports. Even create roof top gardens.
The design comes direct from the shipping industry, building on the vast experience that comes from manufacturing tens of millions of shipping containers over the past 60 years. Our The Modules utilise the same lifting mount system as shipping containers; enabling them to be transported and craned damage-free to the site without special equipment.

The ECOTECH system relies on every component being built to the very highest standards of manufacture – from the smallest screw to the largest structural steel cross-member. Not just sometimes, every time.
Our precision production facility provides a highly controlled all-seasons environment where every worker, component and process is closely managed. Mechanical jigs (pictured above) and automated welding machines help workers achieve tolerances measured to within millimetres.
60-Minute fire Rating
ECOTECH has run extensive testing of our proprietary cladding and balcony systems (including full scale burn tests as pictured above) to create a compliant 60-minute fire rating for our walls, floors and ceilings. For builds up to 3 levels, fire sprinklers are not typically required.
For building 4 levels or above, we can supply Fire Sprinklers and Fire Alarms.

thermal & acoustic insulation
FULL COMPLIANCE WITH NEW H1 CODE REQUIREMENTS.
Ecotech has tested and certified an exceptionally high performing (both thermally and acoustically) insulating foam. The foam bonds with the steel surface to create an impermeable air and moisture barrier. The R-rating achieved exceeds the new H1 thermal requirement for all NZ regions.

Ecotech has partnered with a leading NZ retailer to source electrical appliances, tapware and componentry that meets or exceeds the energy efficiency, water usage and sustainability credentials required to achieve a minimum of HomeStar 6. SMARTER, SIMPLIER FOUNDATIONS
LIGHTER AND LOWER COST FOUNDATIONS.
The inherent strength of the module’s steel framework enables lighter and more efficient foundations to be used. Instead of having to pour a traditional full sized concrete pad, our buildings typically only require foundations around the perimeter or mid section– cutting foundations costs by as much as half.
